About Me

I was born and raised in the heart of Texas. My dad was a jack-of-all-trades and worked in the oilfield when I was born. My mother was born in a tent setup along the Colorado River in central Texas during the depression. Dad was born seventeen miles from there three years before Mon was born. My ancestry has men who fought and died in the “war of independence” with Mexico. Two of my mother’s ancestors died at the Alamo and another fought in the Battle of San Jacinto. He was given 650 acres of land for his trouble. So, other than a three and a half year stint in Princeton, Indiana when I was still in my single digit age, I grew up in Texas and moved with my family more times than we have been able to count confidently. The oilfield is like that. The only other thing about my heritage is the Cherokee blood that runs in my veins. It is the dominant percentage though it is only one sixteenth. I am of many races. I have started my biography. If it works out okay, I will probably put it here for any who care. Until then, I’ll stop with this page for now.
